Overview
SF Group are recruiting for a temporary SEO Officer for a business based in Coventry. It will be for approx 9 months. Purpose To support the Web Manager to improve Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) across all websites and digital assets across the Group. To undertake keyword research, search trends and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and monitoring keyword rankings and traffic and clearly reporting on influencing factors. To assist in the planning of optimised content across our digital channels, including the website, to improve backlinks, broken links, page authority and conversion. To lead on training staff through the creation and implementation of SEO and related areas providing advice and guidance as part of a training plan. To use web analytics to implement on-site SEO improvement campaigns, keeping up to date with the latest search engine algorithm changes and ensuring that existing content on the site achieves the best possible results by increasing visibility across search engines. Main Duties and Responsibilities Ensure all websites and internet properties are technically optimised to attract and engage target audience. To review SEO performance across key metrics and other key indicators such as ranking, visibility, conversions and authority and implement SEO strategies to support digital activities onsite and offsite. Set-up and work to performance indicators for SEO/SEM that are clear. Communicate these to inform marketing planning and encourage working in data cycles. Promote offsite and on-site activities to support increase in traffic to website - linking to specific marketing campaigns, advising on user content strategies to help create backlinks and improve web authority. Define the purpose of each webpage and user journey and measure effectiveness. Track responses and analyse website analytics and PPC. Support campaign development and undertake media-purchase - using bid management tools. Develops and manages in house plans for SEO improvements including implementation of new tools and resources. Provide web analytics reports on the site as a whole, in addition to individual sections and department areas on an ongoing basis. Reports on SEO improvements - google rankings, site effectiveness and campaigns. Makes recommendations on how to improve content and traffic to the website by working alongside stakeholders to ensure reports are understood and recommendations are acted upon. Conduct regular SEO reviews, identify issues for improvement and coordinate team members to implement changes. Work closely with key staff to create SEO/SEM plans and to devise innovative methods of delivering quality traffic to the site. Monitor the way users search for information and provide continuous improvement plans to user journey as a result. Provide reporting on SEO activity and the success of off-page SEO campaigns. Provide advice and guidance to the Digital team including web developers in expediting new site builds and digital content projects, where necessary. Undertake SEO/SEM audit to support web effectiveness and provide regular reports and recommendations. Develop keyword portfolio for each content stream and support implementation through analysis and mapping, working alongside the Digital Marketing Officer. Provide campaign support through target link building and report on effectiveness.
