Overview

Do you have 2 years' experience in Corporate Events? (Arranging dinners, Exhibitions, conferences etc). We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's largest associations and a leading brand in travel. You will be involved in internal and external events, from initial planning through to on-site delivery. These include member engagement meetings, networking receptions, dinners and external exhibitions and conferences. You will also assist with the marketing of the growing portfolio of B2B conferences, seminars and training days. Duties: 1. Manage logistics and company stand at travel industry Exhibitions and Shows Act as coordinator and liaison for approx. 3 industry events per annum. Includes contract negotiation, managing suppliers, stand design and set up, event logistics Onsite event management, directing event set up Production and shipping of event materials Post event management, including invoicing, collating feedback Liaise with Member Engagement Manager regarding event marketing, staff attendance, Member marketing and ROI 2. Planning and delivery of free-to-attend member engagement events End to end organisation of other engagement events such as dinners and networking receptions (approx. 3-5 events per annum) Venue research, booking and liaison Negotiating and booking catering, AV and couriers Managing guest lists and sending invitations Upload event website and registration pages, send joining instructions Book travel & accommodation for staff and speakers Welcome attendees at events Sponsor management (if applicable) Work with external agencies to design and produce event materials in line with brand guidelines Print badges and evaluation forms, collate slides Post event management - invoices, budget management, feedback and CRM administration. 3. Organise 'all staff' parties (approx. 2 per annum) End to end organisation including venue research and negotiation, booking and supplier liaison Internal communications across the organisation (including the senior leadership team) Managing internal communications and staff attendance 4. Deliver marketing support for commercial events Construct and deliver HTML marketing emails for training days and small/medium size seminars (approx. 25 per annum) Build targeted marketing lists from CRM Build event websites and registration pages Post information on social media Build targeted marketing lists and research key contacts to ensure key audiences are reached Monitor and track ROI and campaign performance Ensure events data is up to date and accurate on the CRM. Work with colleagues as required to ensure the correct information is processed. Experience & Skills: At least 2 years of experience in a B2B or corporate events environment Experience of planning events, such as networking receptions, dinners, exhibitions, internal meetings and staff parties Email marketing experience (preferred but not essential) Good IT skills, includes Microsoft Office Previous use of CMS, CRM, email marketing system (desirable) Good educational qualifications Knowledge of an association/Membership organisation (desirable) Able to demonstrate an understanding of the travel industry and membership associations. Well organised, able to plan workload and coordinate projects simultaneously Self-motivated and pro-active worker Good communication skills - confident manner, able to deal with enquiries from senior delegates, senior staff and negotiate with suppliers Good attention to detail A team player, ability to understand and communicate the company ethos. Package & Working Hours: This position is paying a basic salary of £26,000 - £30,000, plus superb company benefits. Monday - Friday (flexible working hours) with the occasional evening/weekend attending events.
