Job Description

Head of Data * Location: Tower Bridge, SE1 * Working pattern: Full Time, Permanent A newly created role to shape our organisation-wide approach to Data Operations, Data Engineering, Analytics and Data Science. You will define and oversee the full lifecycle of our data, leveraging granular data on millions of monthly users to deliver personalised experiences on our websites and innovative predictive models that guide our business. What Youll Do: * Drive data infrastructure, analysis and data science process across the organisation, with a focus on prioritising data science in every decision and training the organisation to think similarly. * Democratise data analytics and lead the implementation of data science applications across our businesses. * Lead efforts that deliver data-driven solutions, including the development and deployment of Machine Learning / Statistical Learning models for real-time or near-real-time business decision-making. * Working experience with a variety of data stacks and organisational structures, especially event streaming and ELT paradigms * Work with senior leadership to create end-to-end data solutions to support growth opportunities. Requirements What Were Looking For: * Experience educating technical key stakeholders in Data Science best practice * Track record of building data science infrastructure (preferably customer data) that is currently in production. * Keen interest in applying cutting-edge techniques and technologies to real-world business problems. * Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery. Additional experience with Segment, DataFlow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, and Google Pub/Sub are all a plus. * Proven thought leadership in the data space, with a track record of contributions to conferences or open-source data solutions. * The ability to critically appraise development and change within the data science arena. * History of collaboration with paid search, paid social, email marketing, or web product teams would be an advantage.
