With industry-leading technology, nationwide postcode coverage and a wealth of property risk expertise, e.surv could be a great choice for your next career move Due to this continued growth and internal promotion, we're looking for a skilled Application Support Manager to manage a small team, as well as being seen as the technical lead with regards to the deployment of internal applications and systems. The ideal candidate will come from an Application Support background. This is a hands-on technical role, fully involved throughout service transition and into day-to-day delivery. The role acts as a technical point of escalation and guidance for all aspects of the IT applications release & support. Day to day you'll be managing the Application Support Team responsible for all of the company's software applications, you will be responsible for the testing, release and support of e.surv applications and the development of service levels for applications services (both in-house and third party). As most enterprise applications are delivered as software-as-a-service by 3rd parties, the role involves extensive 3rd party supplier management. You'll ensure new applications are operationally ready and manage the full life cycle of applications from operational acceptance and through support and retirement. It will be your responsibility to ensure that response to incidents are successful and prompt, as well as maintain an effective second level of support. You'll also be responsible for performance management and the development of the small Application Support Team. Attention to detail is essential, as is a very good understanding of the application lifecycle development model and experience of working within an ITIL environment. You will ideally have experience managing an IT team, preferably within Application Support, excellent technical knowledge of supporting software applications on Microsoft and ITIL frameworks, strong team and line management experience of managing an IT support team ideally within application support. The successful applicant will ideally possess a good level of standard education to degree level and have at least 5 years' experience of working in IT applications area. You will be well organised, flexible, resilient and tenacious. Previous experience will be beneficial, but full training can be given to an applicant demonstrating the right aptitudes and with a willingness to dive into all aspects of the role.
