Big Brand PLC Scope of Options for Future Career Advancement Earn £60k year 1 THE ROLE: As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for selling their contracted commercial waste collection and recycling service into higher spending accounts (Major Accounts) in the Merseyside and surrounding area. As a minimum you will be tasked with sourcing contracts of 100k value, though often they can be significantly more. Developing both Public and Private sector channels, typical prospects can range from NHS Trusts, Universities, Local Government, Shopping Centres, Hotels Chains and Pub Groups. Liaising with senior Facilities Management and Procurement contacts business is won both through tender and consultative, complex negotiations. You will sit around x4 appointments per week, gain leads both direct and through internal stakeholders and work on lead times that range from 3-18months. Having been established over 90 years they currently lead the waste and recycling industry having over 150 sites, enabling them to service all postcodes within the UK and in turn collect over 3 million bins per week. In addition they are now much more than a waste collection business developing key skills in sustainability through recycling and energy generation services. A truly exciting time to join a dynamic and ever evolving market where there will always be a need for their service THE PERSON: They are seeking candidates with a proven track record of developing business within solution sales. They want to see a background of selling at a senior level to commercial businesses - with minimum contract values of £50k pa. They are fairly open on the sales background but want candidates to be commercially astute, well-structured in their sales approach and display the ability to work autonomously once up to speed.
