Overview

North England and Scotland As a direct reaction to market interest, BD have decided to increase the size of the team responsible for the Pyxis Medication Management Solutions. This is the worldwide market leading solution for ward-based medication management with significant growth potential in the UK & Ireland. This role will be tasked with leveraging BD’s existing relationships within Ward areas, Pharmacy and Procurement Departments within the Hospital sector to help create Closed Loop Medication Management solutions to help with efficiency and patient care. Main Responsibilities: Meet or exceed annual revenue plan. Sell the Pyxis Range of Equipment into new areas within the determined territory and sector Work with Implementation and customer service teams to ensure an unparalleled customer experience for the lifetime of installed equipment. Expand footprint in existing Pyxis accounts to additional areas within a hospital. Ensure team respect and adhere to the standards, processes and culture established for BD organisation. Interact with customers of the healthcare environment to establish clinical and commercial solutions across the BD portfolio. Work cross portfolio with other Account Managers on projects that promote sales of the entire BD portfolio to the healthcare system. Proactive member of UK sales and marketing team. Sales reporting. Performance vs. plan, commentary, resulting actions. Sales forecasting. CRM Excellence (SFDC) Special projects on behalf of UK sales management team Creation and maintenance of champion reference site within the territory and proof of value projects Main Activities: Network with leaders in the UK healthcare system, Pharmacy, Nursing, Transformation Directors and ICT related stakeholders. Influence senior leaders to develop a productive partnership with BD Maintain regional pipeline and forecast plan Drive appropriate local cross-BD team working to capitalise on local business opportunities Teamwork with members of UK sales and marketing management team, also some interaction with other country marketing platforms maybe required Ensure sales team promotional activities are consistent with approved marketing campaign and they comply with BD policies for customer interactions Key Competencies: High personal accountability High degree of integrity Courage to drive through change in a professional manner Passion to "make a difference" to health Excellent customer focus and service skills Excellent planning and organisational skills Proactive and the ability to take initiative with a 'can do’ attitude Excellent networking skills High level of commercial awareness Excellent analytical and decision-making skills Ability to create detailed tactical and strategic plans Good customer orientation and problem-solving skills Flexible attitude and ability to handle changing priorities Team member, willing to act on behalf of team Mature and controlled reaction to pressure of work Computer literacy with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Customer Relationship Management Software and Internet applications Qualifications & Experience: 5 years sales experience, ideally capital projects Previous Clinical/Operational/IT/pharmacy experience preferred Previous experience with Cerner/Epic/Allscript/JAC/Ascribe Proven professional experience within the healthcare industry Proficient working clinical English, spoken and written Knowledge of the tender and procurement process within the NHS, preferably regarding long term hospital equipment purchasing
