Overview

We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. Develop and manage the risk and trading infrastructure, including portfolio risk, and ensure risks are correctly represented. Attention is required to ensure risks are managed at an overall desk level and at a legal entity level Respond to client price inquiries for interest rate swaps denominated predominately in GBP. Manage market risk from client activity at a portfolio level. Coordinate with control functions to ensure compliance with regulations, and partner with Finance to conduct annual financial planning Pro-actively guide the technological develop of the trading desk operation Ensure that all activity stays within the controls and other governance of the legal vehicle: Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and expense / cost of executing business discipline and ethics Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by the role Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for the role, within the appropriate timeframe Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. In depth experience of Markets products with particular focus on Interest Rate Derivatives across the curve, Experience at pricing and hedging transactions with large Interest Rate Delta and experience at managing cross gammas in an Interest Rate Derivative portfolio Strong intellectual grasp of the industry and with the ability to anticipate and lead the organizational response to future changes Ability to translate vision into executable plans Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Superior problem solving skills; pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately Understanding the regulation and capital regimes that affect Interest Rate Swaps trading
