Overview

We're looking for a candidate to this position in an exciting company. Reporting into the CTO you will lead a lean enterprise architecture team which focuses on defining and moving Gamesys towards our future state platform architecture. You will be applying and sharing smart ideas and techniques for decomposition, architecting for change and dealing with technical debt in a highly complex and competitive industry. Delivering successful change by working with teams and embedded architects – fostering innovation balanced with a clear macro architectural vision and goals that you gain tech leaders confidence on and commitment to. Balance of emergent design with intentional architecture and understanding the concept of architectural flow. You will collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, architects, project managers, heads of department and will be adept at working at board level. An architectural thought leader Ability to work at the appropriate level of abstraction for the situation Strong leadership skills Proven success at dealing with architectural debt head on Skilled at distilling complex technology down to facts which resonate with the business Comfortable communicating via a whiteboard, presentation and code in a one to one, one to many, department all-hands and board meeting settings. Ability to put effective objectives and metrics around architectural change and value Techniques to estimate complexity and capture risks Ability to know when a decision needs to be made and how to get smart people to commit to it. Understanding of the challenges and techniques in building high-volume transactional systems Knowledge of PAAS, IAAS, APIs, Micro-services, and event driven architectures, Excellent organisation and planning skills. Familiarity with graphical modelling approaches and tools. Organisationally savvy with the ability to navigate matrix organisations and build strong relationships. Effective at delivering short term actions which are consistent with long term goals Experience in the Gaming industry Experience of public cloud migrations
