Overview
The RoleAre you an experienced policy and advocacy specialist in the field of diversity and inclusion? We're looking for someone to lead our work with members and wider stakeholders to improve diversity, inclusion and social mobility within the solicitor profession. You'll possess experience of working at a senior level, developing and implementing strategies and action plans to achieve objectives, solid policy drafting skills and the ability to analyse, interpret and present complex and persuasive policy briefings and papers. In addition, you'll have strong knowledge of Equality and Diversity legislation and relevant codes of practice and experience of influencing professions, sectors and groups to drive real policy and practice change.What we're looking forYou'll use your excellent all-round communication and presentation skills to influence and engage with the leadership team and establish credible working relationships at a senior level with a diverse group of key stakeholders. You'll also have proven experience of managing a team, conducting appraisals and ensuring work objectives are established and delivered.This exciting role offers the opportunity to tackle inappropriate barriers to entry and progression and will help bring best practice to an entire profession and to our internal diversity and inclusion.
