The organisation is a global leader in supplying workplace products, services and supplies and have an exciting opportunity for a Public Sector Business Development Manager to join their strategic new business team. The Business Development Manager will be based from home but will be able to travel throughout the UK and will be well versed with bids, tenders and selling into local and central government and the wider public sector including the NHS and Education. As a strategic Business Development Manager for the public sector you will understand how a Government Framework operates, you will be extremely well networked and have a strong commercial mind-set and proven success in generating revenue in excess of £1M per annum. In return for your excellent relationship-building skills and ability to deliver results to target, the Business Development Manager will benefit from an uncapped commission scheme, company car or allowance and the support structure you would expect from a market leader. The Business Development Manager role will involve a significant amount of travel to Public Sector prospects in order to develop new business opportunities. You will typically spend 3-4 days per week in the field, meeting clients face to face. The Business Development Manager will have the following experience: A proven demonstrable understanding of the Public Sector and frameworks e.g. Commercial Crown Services A proven demonstrable track record of new business success in a similar role, ideally utilising cross-range selling to secure contracts with an annual spend of £1M Excellent relationship and networking skills A passion for delivering high results through a proven method of working Sound decision making capability - accountability for the result Strong commercial acumen combined with excellent negotiation skills, The ability to create a winning commercial proposal This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful and progressive global retailer as a Business Development Manager.
