We have an exciting opportunity for a Venue Sales Manager based at Harrogate Convention Centre . You will join uson a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £38,813- £40,760 per annum. The Venue Sales Manager role: Managing the Sales Team based at Harrogate Convention Centre, Harrogate - you will be leading a Sales Team at the venue to increase lettings sales, against the backdrop of the exciting new plans to redevelop the site. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the sales function, ensuring that the Sales Team have the necessary tools and support to execute the new sales strategy now in place at the venue. Responsibilities as our Venue Sales Manager : - Devise and develop successful sector sales strategies with the Sales team, in order to drive lettings revenues above £4.1m by 2024 with the support of the Director of the Centre - Ensure that your team is motivated and mentored, and that all professional sales processes and procedures are followed, and that the Venue is sold in a commercially efficient manner - Drive the overall sales effort at HCC, by producing effective bids and proposals internally and with town stakeholders - Responsible for the day to day management of the sales function - Win, manage and process allocated client accounts to the completion of contracts - Have exemplary knowledge of the Venue and destination, in order to ensure every Sale is sold correctly and that opportunities to up-sell venue services are capitalised upon - Develop sales strategies and tactics in conjunction with the Director of HCC - Ensure that professional sales processes are embedded into the culture of the organisation to meet customer requirements while ensuring USI is used to its full capacity and accurately - Deputise for the Director of HCC in a sales capacity as required What we’re looking for in our Venue Sales Manager : - 5 years sales experience in a senior sales role, preferably within an events setting, and a proven track record of driving up sales from a managerial position - An excellent presenter, a sales evangelist, with a passion for exceeding sales targets and meeting deadlines - Proven successful track record of implementing proactive selling techniques that grow sales within an event context - Track record of developing Sales team members, and implementing, new and successful sales campaigns - Proven successful track record in generating new business - Conversant with the elements of a structured selling technique - Computer literate and database savvy - Ability to create and control specific sales evaluation methods and models - This role requires the ability to travel throughout the UK and abroad.
