In this role, you will be responsible for a sector of the Council's building programme requiring considerable initiative, experience and project management ability. You will be responsible for reactive maintenance, specification, quality assurance, programme delivery, audit and procurement matters. You will ensure that Health and Safety law and guidance, including safe ways of working, is always followed. You will deliver projects from inception of the client brief, through all the stages of the design and construction process, in accordance with the agreed programme. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about change, customer focussed and willing to adapt to new challenges, as the service evolves to meet changing client and service demands. Your experience should include a proven track record in terms of working with, and the management of, contractors on site. Qualifications should include HNC/HND Building Surveying or equivalent. Above all, you will be looking to improve the way we engage with our employees, residents and customers to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do.
