Overview

Your excellent track record in procurement has seen you deliver better value for an organisation by identifying key suppliers, negotiating contracts, carrying out supplier reviews and driving supplier performance. All you need now is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as Head of Procurement on a 12 month fixed term contract. Leading proactive procurement practices that drive value for money across the Recovery Focus Group is the challenge that awaits you here. Indeed, we’ll rely on you to provide practical support and expert guidance to senior managers whilst ensuring appropriate procurement policies, processes and forward plans are in place and fulfilled. One day you might be identifying value adding opportunities or developing a national buying strategy for the business, the next, leading and supporting a complex project, strengthening current procurement processes or helping managers perform supplier reviews. And, all the while, you’ll not only serve as a procurement business partner to the Senior Leadership team, but also ensure that your colleagues see the value of procurement and “buy in” to what you&39;re delivering. Having an impressive background in procurement, you’re able to bring a service-oriented mindset and a real desire to ensure client satisfaction. We’ll also be looking for a proven ability to benchmark suppliers across kindred&39;s markets to ensure we get the best possible value. Used to adopting a range of different procurement strategies, depending on size and type of deal and supplier, you have the networking and negotiation skills it takes to influence effectively at all levels. What’s more, you&39;re self-motivated, work well without day-to-day supervision and are willing to travel across the country to liaise with stakeholders and colleagues in multiple locations as required. The salary for this post is £52,032.00. A location supplement of £3,250 will be applicable if the postholder is based in London. The postholder can be based in Highbury & Islington, Prescot or Home Based. The closing date for this post is 7th April 2020.
