They are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager personnel to join this highly motivated Rail team based out of their Manchester branch. Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: North West & surrounding areas Working Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday. Additional working hours may be required during busy periods. Purpose: Projecting a professional company image, encompassing customer communications, promotion & profitable sale of goods across the product range/within specialist area, providing supply-chain solutions to customer requirements. Main duties & responsibilities: Present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contact services Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up Identify and resolve client concerns Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity to your Line Manager Co-ordinate staff to accomplish the work required to close sales Knowledge & Skills requirements : Product knowledge of general MRO to include:- Fasteners, PPE, Tools, Fluid Power, Bearings & general consumable products preferred Good knowledge of the area and customers Professional level verbal and written communication skills, numerate Valid driving license Proficient basic IT skills Customer focused, driven to provide consistent high level of service Health & Safety responsibilities: Take care of own safety and that of others. Comply with health and safety procedures and instructions. Not neglect, misuse, and damage anything provided in the interest of health and safety. Assist by reporting to Line Manager any hazard, accident, damage or defect in order that remedial action may be undertaken.
