Overview

Are you working in the UK Roofing market? Do you have a passion for specification sales? Would you like the opportunity to take full control of a UK business unit? If so, CSG have been retained on the ideal opportunity for you: The client is a German manufacturer of high quality single-ply roofing membranes for use industrially or commercially. They turn-over €60m globally with 2 manufacturing sites in Germany but are a part of a group of manufacturers who turn-over €400m. The company is in a position where they are looking to expand further outside of their core central European market and have identified significant growth opportunity in the UK. As such they are looking to bring someone on-board who understands the market well and can take them from being sold purely via distribution to being sold via specification and direct to contractors. The role: As a National Business Development Manager you will be the UK's arm of this organisation. You will set strategy, you will guide the organisation on what the UK needs to do in order to be successful, you will implement your own plan. The aim is to grow a decent share in the UK within 2 years then moving on from that it is to build a team around the individual employed. You will be calling on architects, introducing the product to roofing contractors and negotiating with them, reporting back to Germany on what needs to be implemented and then carrying that out in partnership with their in-house logistics, operations and technical teams.
