Junior DesignerPermanent contract 35 hours per week. £26,182 per annum (plus allowances) Location - London (Old Street) This is a rare opportunity for a Junior Designer to join our in-house Creative Team. You'll turn your hand to a wide range of promotional and information materials across both print and digital.As our Junior Designer, you will already have strong design skills, an eye for detail and an understanding of what good design looks like. At The Children's Society we can help you to develop these skills further, whilst being supported by a collaborative team who will help you grow and develop in this role.We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Junior Graphic Designer who can design creative, engaging, and stand-out visual content across a range of print and digital communications.This role sits within our Engagement and Income generation directorate which leads marketing and communications, campaigning, youth and supporter engagement at The Children's Society - standing alongside young people, staff and supporters to collectively create a society fit for children. Your role will help us to maintain and increase our impact with our supporters through outstanding, effective communications.In order to be successful in this role, you must have: -A strong understanding of the role of design in communications.-Excellent communication skills, including listening.-Excellent knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop software.-Extensive knowledge of Macintosh systems (hardware and software).-Ability to prioritise, manage and co-ordinate a number of projects simultaneously.-Experience as a designer in a design studio, advertising, marketing or in-house agency, developing digital and print materials for a wide variety of audiences.-Experience of delivering projects on time and within agreed specifications.The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years.
