Junior Graphic Designer (position internally known as Junior Designer) You will join our client as a Junior Designer and use your design skills to help raise funds and increase brand awareness at our client. Junior Designer Responsibilities: This is a highly creative role. You’ll work alongside the Senior Designer to deliver creative concepts and design work for digital and print. You’ll be confident taking a project from brief to final delivery, including concept development, art-direction, liaising with external suppliers, and preparing final artwork. Working directly with teams across the charity and hospital, you’ll have strong communication skills and be able to present design ideas effectively to senior colleagues. You’ll also art-direct photography of patients and their families, requiring sensitivity and compliance with hospital and charity regulations. Junior Designer Requirements: Specifically you will have: - A degree-level qualification in design, or equivalent experience. - A minimum of one-year experience working as a graphic designer. - A portfolio of work demonstrating ability to work creatively within brand guidelines. - Strong typographic skills and attention to detail. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Experience of working to varied and challenging deadlines. - Experience of preparing print-ready artwork and liaising with print suppliers. - High level of competency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. - Competency in Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate will also have: - Experience working within an in-house design team. - Experience working in the charity sector. - Experience of vector animation and competency in Adobe after Effects or similar.
