Shop Assistant - 6 months fixed term contract, temporary, various part time Based in Seahouses, Northumberland Hourly rate £8.38 rising to £9.00 from April 2020 Would you be interested in joining a business that's truly different? One of the UK's leading food retailers is currently looking to recruit Customer Assistants for their Seahouses shop in North Northumberland. Full-time and part-time opportunities available on an initial 6 month contract, if you're available to work early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, we'd love to hear from you. As well as an attractive hourly rate you would have access to a fantastic benefits package, including… o premium rates for hours worked before 6am or after 10pm (and on Boxing Day/Good Friday/Easter Sunday) o 10% discounts on all food products, including 20% on own brand at payday weekend o discounts on other products and services available o pension with up to 10% employer contributions The Role Supporting management and as part of a high performing team, you would play a key role in the smooth running of your shop, ensuring that all customers receive a friendly service at all times. Key responsibilities will include providing friendly, considerate customer service, really getting to know your customers, preparing and presenting products, including from the bakery, and keeping the store well stocked and looking good. About you… No specific experience or qualifications, required, full training is provided. It's your personality, skills, motivation and values that matter. You'll need to show… o a real passion for customer service o great communication and listening skills o the ability to work well in a team, and achieve team and individual goals o an enthusiastic approach and willingness to support your colleagues when the store gets busier o the flexibility to work a range of shifts to support the opening times of the store This role may be suitable for you if you have a background in any of the following: Sales Assistant, Team Member, Retail Supervisor, Keyholder, Shift Leader, Shop Assistant, Senior Shop Assistant, Retail Assistant, Senior Store Assistant.
