The Role: The role of Business Development Manager is one our clients most critical appointments - managing the business across two Business Units make this a complex role requiring excellent leadership, planning, prioritisation and relationship building both internally and externally. You will focus on the following areas (but the right individual will also develop this role into other areas) - Private healthcare providers, Outsourced service provision, Distributor(s), National Bodies, Insurers. The goal within each of these core markets is to ensure our client leads in the move towards POC within both a primary and Secondary care setting. The overall goal of the Business Development Manager is to build sustainable growth across both CM and ID core focus areas year on year. Flexibility to travel within the UK up to 80% of time and it is anticipated that some European travel is expected. As an entrepreneurial and high calibre self-starter with a proven track record and a consistent high achievement in the Healthcare sales arena, you will contribute to growth in the private healthcare provider settings. The overall goal of the Business Development Manager is to build sustainable growth across both core focus areas year on year. Region: National. The Ideal Person: Significant industry and sales leadership experience. Familiarity with diagnostic industry practices and ideally has familiarity with market(s) relevant to product line. Thorough knowledge of UK healthcare industry, NHS and private healthcare providers. Preferred educational background: Degree or higher in Business, Biological Science or related field. Working knowledge and experience in medical equipment leasing and managed services. Contracting experience adequate to work with legal counsel in drafting heads of terms and working through contract reviews. Effective communicator, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to achieve results through influencing others. Demonstrated ability to maintain positive people relationships and build strong links with all departments. Self-starter, possesses flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations.
