Overview

Position: Contract Manager Location: Stretford Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Duties Lead contract mobilisation, develop and maintained strong relationships with customers throughout the life of the contract Review contract documentation identify issues/risks and implement strategies to protect the business, maximising contract sales and profitability Load all new product requirements for each new contract, liaise with Purchasing and Systems to ensure timely, accurate completion Identify and resolve order related problems, liaise with Managers to ensure effective resolution for customers and the business, update the Managing Director on key issues in a timely manner Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion Negotiate with contract customers to maximise profitability and opportunity throughout the life of the contract, i.e. passing on manufacturer’s cost increases, introducing product substitutions, etc. Update and analyse contract management and KPI reports; pro-actively resolve issues, track performance and achieve agreed KPI targets Maintain, review and update company contract information including filing of all relevant documentation in a structured and organised manner Maintain accurate Contract Management Plans (CMP), set goals and achieve targets for increasing/maintaining profitability, identify new opportunities, spot purchases, introductions to new decision makers, contract renewal and roadmap information and more Update CMP’s for each contract customer minimum monthly; update the MD on important activities in a timely manner Become a main point of contact for contract customers, seek new tender opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction is maintained throughout the life of the contract Lead Contract Review Meetings, schedule meetings in advance, prepare Agenda’s, submit relevant information to the MD and customers, prepare detailed minutes and complete actions to a high standard; ensure contract performance and profitability targets are achieved and high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained Review historic sales data, understand trends in data and identify opportunities to introduce new products and services or to substitute products that are technically and commercially feasible to the Customer Review contract sales and margins; develop strategies to minimise risk and maximise profitability Update and maintain databases and produce information regarding the sales pipeline, forecasting and analysis to meet business requirements Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge in line with company product development portfolio Benefits 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays Contributory pension scheme Flexi-time Free on-site parking The ideal candidate would have a postgraduate degree and have previous experience in a contract or procurement role.
