Job Description

Java UI Developer - Google Web Toolkit (Contract) Remote. 3 month contract. Join us as a Java Developer working on a user interface refresh for one of our key products. CloudM Manage is a Google App Engine application written in Java 8 using Google Web Toolkit (GWT), so we are looking for contractors with good experience with these technologies. To fit this position you must have at least 6 months continuous experience working on a GWT UI project - please detail this alongside your application. Candidates should provide all necessary equipment (PC and Java IDE) though we will furnish software licenses for our development systems. The successful applicant will be able to work from home with flexibility as to hours after the first month. Responsibilities: * Writing, and finishing, great code with excellent attention to detail * A focus on getting the job done right, first time * Contribute to the development of high quality products on time and within budget * Working collaboratively with a team of highly skilled developers- Required Skills: * Several years commercial experience in software development with Java, with ability to adapt to other languages * Experience of developing web-based user interfaces using Google Web Toolkit, HTML5, CSS and Javascript * Exposure to agile and iterative development processes * Ability to write secure and testable code Desirable Skills: * Experience with the Google App Engine stack or significant experience with other servlet based applications such as Tomcat * Jira / Bitbucket work management tools * Maven & Jenkins To Apply: Please complete an application including an up to date CV.
