Overview

The Role: My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager/Building Surveyor to join their vibrant and expanding Building Surveying team to carry out a variety of building surveying work on a broad mixture of property. (Do not need to be MRICS accredited) The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and delivering on many different projects. You will be exposed to a range of work including development opportunities; maintenance and refurbishment projects; and professional building surveying. Role Responsibilities: -Managing instructions and projects. -Producing tender documents including specifications, preambles, and preliminaries using NBS or similar packages. -You’ll be producing management reports and communicating progress and forecasts to the client team. -You’ll be aware of and keep up to date with relevant legislation which affects the properties managed by our clients. -The management and delivery of development opportunities. -Acting as the Employers Agent or Contract Administrator. -Reactive maintenance and minor repairs to internal refurbishments, building extensions, and full redevelopment. -Drafting specifications and managing the production of drawings. -Appointment of consultants -Oversee all aspects of Health and Safety. -Dilapidations: Responsible for producing interim and terminal schedule of dilapidations and negotiating with the outgoing tenant or their advisor -Building Pathology: identifying the cause of problems within a building and specifying an effective and economic solution -Building surveys for acquisitions -Party Wall Agreements -Landlord's periodic inspections -Reviewing proposed Tenant Alterations About you: -Demonstrable experience of technical due diligence surveys. -Demonstrable experience in party wall -A solid understanding of contract administration. -You are proficient in AutoCAD with a good working knowledge in all Microsoft Office packages. -A full current driving license. -Excellent problem-solving skills -Clear communication skills, both written and verbal. -Excellent attention to detail -A keen interest in developing yourself and others -Experience of working as a building surveying from the private sectors -Experience working with development opportunities, maintenance and refurbishment projects, and professional building surveying work -Project Management Experience Salary & Benefits: 25 days holiday entitlement.
