Overview

Adult Support Workers required for various shifts in Glasgow and the West Hays Social Care have a number of temporary opportunities for passionate and dedicated Support Workers to work on various shifts in Glasgow and the West. We are interested in hearing from people who are looking to make a positive impact on someone's life. We are currently working with various organisations who support adults over the age of 18 who have a range of complex needs including sensory loss and learning disabilities. You will be an experienced Support Worker with a significant understanding of Adults with Learning Disability including Autism/Asperger's, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and Down's Syndrome. You will have experience in either residential services, supported living or outreach services and have a patient and understanding nature. You may assist with everyday living tasks such as cleaning and shopping and also support users to enjoy their leisure and recreational activities. It would be highly advantageous if you hold a valid UK driving license and are able to swim to support people in the water. Successful candidates will have 6 months recent experience of working as a Support Worker and hold a relevant social care qualification such as SVQ Level 2 or 3. Candidates must be registered or be able to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting work and will be able to provide details of 2 recent social care referees. A current driving license would be highly advantageous. Hay Social Care will offer you flexible hours, weekly pay, and free training and PVG check.
