You don't necessarily need experience as we provide full training. We have roles in Headington and Oxford. Some are supporting individuals in their own homes and others are based at a respite service which provides a homely environment for adults with learning disabilities; some visit daily, others for longer periods. Many of these are new roles and as such its an exciting time to join us as we look to build our teams and develop services to ensure we're delivering excellent quality and outcomes for the people we support. About the role You'll join our friendly teams, enabling adults with learning disabilities to increase their independence; there's lots of variety. You'll support individuals in all aspects of daily living; from cooking to managing finances. Supporting people with their personal care and medication needs is also key. As a support worker you'll also support people to do things in their community; from shopping and going on day trips to sport and visiting day centres. If you have experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you'll discover we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications and career progression. About you You'll need good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. Respectful of people's differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. You can work 24/7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights. A full driving licence is essential for some roles. We provide a range of benefits. All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support. Full-time support workers work 37.5 hours plus one sleep-in a week (pay for these sleep-ins is included in the annual salary figures shown above). We also have some services where sleep-ins are not required and you may work some waking nights. The salary for these roles is £16,953 - £17,774 pa.
