Content Marketing Director
Overview
We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. Your content will fuel multi-platform programs that build and extend the company reputation, deepen their relationships, and most critically drive revenue. Developing content strategy and calendar for a line of business. Managing and tuning the strategy and calendar per performance metrics and adjustment in business need. Writing, writing, writing. Collaborating with subject matter experts, go-to-market teams, digital, design, brand, research, events, communications, and other writers. Ensuring all content is on-message, on-brand, of appropriate style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience. We are measured on impact to revenue, reputation, relationships, and resources. You will bring both a publishing and a marketing mindset. You are a corporate storyteller, at the same time empathetic toward the customer as well as promoting your business. Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field. Experience as a respected leader in multichannel content creation. A “nose” for the story, and an ability translating a complicated business message into thoughtful, compelling, readable copy that is interesting, impactful, and immediate. Demonstrable writing and editorial skills across a variety of forms: from multi-page reports to 140-character tweets; from executive general session presentations to infographics; from web/pod-cast scripts to case study storyboards; from email to DMs. Familiarity with both financial services technology and the principles of B2B IT marketing. Negotiation, diplomacy, and people skills to define and manage a set of goals involving diverse contributors and content types. Project, team and time management skills managing multiple deadlines, balancing long term ‘business as usual’ work with fast-turn opportunities and demands across multiple lines of business, and teams in multiple global time zones. Ability to shift seamlessly between leader, collaborator and doer roles. Time spent working in an agency environment. Hands-on experience in the blended world of content, digital, and design. MBA or other relevant advanced degree. Experience with Agile marketing. Reasonable commute to an FIS office. Experience in developing or leading strategic messaging and positioning that serves as baseline platform for subsequent content development
