Tax Internship - Private Client Services, Tax Disputes and Resolutions

BDO ,
London, Greater London
Salary: 6 week paid internship

Overview

Overview When a taxpayer faces a tax investigation from H M Revenue & Customs (‘HMRC’), or decides to make a voluntary disclosure, they turn to us for expert support. An investigation will typically take place under HMRC’s Code of Practice 8 or 9, or through a voluntary disclosure from the client. However, no two investigations are the same. We deal with both tax avoidance and tax evasion cases, and address a multitude of different issues relating to the activities of companies, individuals and trusts, both in the UK and overseas. BDO offer a 6 week paid summer internship to undergraduates who are in their penultimate year of study, running from early-July to mid-August each year. The internship kicks off with an induction week giving you the opportunity to network with your peers and new colleagues. When you hit the desk you're ready to experience life and work at BDO, whilst gaining useful insight into our business and culture. Each intern is allocated a manager and buddy to support you within your role. During your final week we'll invite you to attend a partner presentation and interview to be considered for graduate opportunities. As the internships can be a step into a full time career with us, it is important that all candidates can demonstrate an understanding of the graduate role and attributing professional qualifications.
