Head of Internal and External Communications
Overview
We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. The Head of Internal and External Communications will play a leading role in helping Guide Dogs deliver its purpose of every person with sight loss having the ability to live the life they choose. We aim to achieve this by providing life-changing services for the independence of people living with sight loss and their friends and family. We will put people with sight loss at the heart of everything we do and firmly place ourselves at the forefront of inclusivity. This is a pivotal leadership role within Guide Dogs as internal and external communications is critical to Guide Dogs’ strategic success, staff and volunteer engagement, as well as making Guide Dogs a great place to work. We are looking for a proactive and inspiring leader who has a track record of leading large, high-performing communications teams in the charity or commercial sector, ideally including internal and external communications. You should have experience of proactively using communicationsto deliver on key strategic objectives, overcoming organisational challenges and creating a positive culture for staff and volunteers, as well as managing a large number of communications projects across multiple teams within a complex organisation and managing large budgets.
