This role is for someone who is passionate about Face to Face negotiations, enjoys building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders alike. You will have a great opportunity to build a vast network across Shell including our Trading and New Energies businesses, whilst working in a fast paced and exciting environment. What’s the role? As a Market Data Consultant, you will drive negotiations with our key data subscription suppliers whilst also building a strong internal network at Shell. We’ll entrust you with ensuring delivery and effective management of contracts while driving value improvement targets. You’ll be expected to: Proactively identify & understand commercial/procurement needs from internal stakeholders and collaboratively propose competitive solutions; Manage Supplier Relationships effectively and collaboratively drive continuous performance improvement via relevant contract key metrics; Develop and maintain strong and long-term business relationships with the External Information Sources suppliers; Build and maintain a strong network in the market, being fully aware of supplier developments and opportunities; Build effective working relationships with others and make a constructive contribution within the immediate team; Ensure application of the End to End procurement process, using commercial judgment, common sense and a simplification mind-set, Understand the difference between non-negotiable compliance elements (Safety, E&C, Code of Conduct, Law) and CP operating practices, while always keeping enterprise business value in focus; Actively seek to develop alternative sources of supply and/or commercial models to ensure optimal value for money is delivered to Shell Requirements What we need from you: When it comes to nurturing collaborative stakeholder relations, it’s your excellent people skills that will make the difference. We’re keen to hear from passionate individuals who are highly driven, possess a ‘can do’ attitude and a professional with a proven track record of commercial acumen. Someone with strong and proven Interpersonal, Influencing & Stakeholder Management Skills. Beyond that, we’d hope to see the following on your CV: A degree in a Commercial discipline; CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) Qualification would be preferred but not mandatory; An interest/background in data analysis, data platforms, etc. is preferred but not essential Experience in procuring / working with subscription-based data services would be a plus Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals; Proven experience in managing relationships internally and externally Proven experience in complex contract negotiations & proven experience in Post Award Contract Management/Supplier Management.
