Overview

We are currently supporting an innovative, family-run SME who are actively seeking an experienced Head of Sales to join their existing team based in Norwich. As Head of Sales you will take the full responsibility for the company's Global Sales Team based in the UK and the annual revenue of the business. The company continues to expand at an impressive rate, both in existing and new global markets. Already in 46 countries they have a clear plan to be truly global having successfully entered the N. America and UAE markets in 2019. We are looking for a professional Head of Sales that has in-depth experience of working within a brand led and sales driven business with at least 5 years managing a team. Ideally you will have experience of the distributor market place and will also have lots of passion and drive, high integrity, a creative mind, impeccable judgement and a track record of achieving stretching sales targets. Key responsibilities and duties of this role Drive the Global Business expansion within a defined process to assess and appoint new distributors partners Implement individual team structures so that clear responsibility and accountabilities are wholly aligned to the annual Revenue and Gross Profit Targets Work closely with MD and SMT to influence, devise and implement all sales or company wide strategies in accordance with the annual business plan Attend customer meetings as required by the sales team and as appropriate to fully support a hands on approach Devise, implement or modify individual account strategies to ensure no existing or emerging customer account becomes 'at risk’ Oversee / Manage the seamless transfer of accounts from New Business Development to the Key Accounts Team so that each account achieves maximum growth Be the focal point for Marketing / R&D feedback and support Actively coach the team to follow best practice Customer Account /New Business Meetings Ensure high performing teams are in place and the structure is constantly appraised Develop and grow the teams’ capabilities and ensure successors are in place for all key roles Responsibility for recruitment and maintaining quarterly performance appraisals Review, analyse and report on results to identify opportunities and corrective actions required Monthly reporting to plot progress of Global expansion Working with the MD to inform and/or gain commitment for strategic developments The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and qualifications Experience in managing a team successfully in the UK (and Europe ideally) Easy access to either Norwich and London is a must Extensive travel is required with frequent nights away A proven track record in a Head of Sales role Proven experience within a growing company Additional languages would be an advantage but not essential Experience within complex manufacturing is highly desirable Ideally Norwich based but London / Manchester are feasible Hours: 7:30am - 5pm (Mon-Fri) Benefits Salary circa £80,000 Bonus Lunch provided daily Car/car allowance Phone & laptop provided Free onsite parking
