Overview
A superb position has been created for an assistant project manager to join a boutique building consultancy in the City. About our client; The business provides a full range of project management and consultancy services to developers, institutions, landlords and occupiers. The team consists of chartered surveyors and project managers, all of whom are experts in their own right and are part of a high performing culture. The business offers excellent APC support and provides their staff with allocated time and training as required. You will have access to APC counsellor and be encouraged to go on training days with fellow team members. About the role; From day one you will be involved in a variety of CAT A&B projects up to £30 million. You will also have exposure to the industrial and residential sectors. You will report in to an experienced associate, who will nurture your talent and give you the exposure and support to run your own projects. As a whole projects range from £2 million to £70 million; they vary in complexity and stature, typically all within the M25 and could be new build, refurbishments, extensions, alterations or cut and carve. About you; This role would suit someone who has a building surveying or cost management degree and is looking to become chartered. You will ideally have a good understanding of the RIBA stages and in turn the project lifecycle. It is essential that you understand JCT contracts and have experience administering contracts. You must have excellent communication skills as you will be interacting with clients on a daily basis.
