Area Sales Manager - Ground Shoring & Groundwork Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Ground Shoring & Groundwork Industry Sector: Ground Shoring, Groundworkers, Concrete Frame Contractors, Construction and Civil Engineering Area to be covered: Yorkshire Remuneration: £30,000-£37,000 Neg. £7,000-£12,000 uncapped commission Benefits: BMW or Audi Car (or allowance of £500 per month) full benefits package The role of the Area Sales Manager - Ground Shoring & Groundwork will involve: Field sales position selling predominantly the hire (but also the sale) of ground shoring products including: trench boxes, manhole boxes, manhole braces, pipe lifter, struts & walers, trench lining and tube shoring products Selling into groundworkers Fantastic opportunity to join a new depot Vacancy has come about through growth plans, you will inherit a turnover of circa £500,000 turnover (with no field sales representation) Responsible for growing the area to £1.5m over the next 2 years 70% new business development within your own contacts and also within our clients existing formwork & falsework customer database 30% account development targeting existing clients Project sizes will vary from £1,000 (a few trench boxes for a few weeks) up to £6,000 per week for projects lasting 6 months (e.g. 2-3 story basement projects) Visiting construction sites typically 4 days per week and on average 4 customer visits per day Utilising a team of qualified engineers for technical support The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Ground Shoring & Groundwork with: Must have previously sold into groundworkers Ideally with a proven track record of having sold ground shoring, although our client is open on product background Hire industry field sales experience preferred but will consider the sale of ground shoring products too Proven territory management skills/ field sales proven track record Contacts within groundworkers is not essential as a database of customer base will be provided Construction site experience Ideally with specific knowledge of trench boxes, manhole boxes, manhole braces, pipe lifter, struts & walers, trench lining and tube shoring products Empathetic, energetic, drive, passion and enthusiastic No journeymen / unstable careers, will suit someone looking for longevity in their career The Company: Est. 50 Years Multiple depots nationwide 100 employees Net worth £50m Please contact Paul, Lee or Simon from Mitchell Maguire for an immediate interview.
