North West Attractive base salary and benefits package Ref: L10941 As a result of significant growth, the need has arisen to appoint a senior design engineer who will take the lead and deliver high profile projects within this market leading multi-site manufacturer. The company is on a very steep growth curve, is highly successful and has a strong pipeline of new product development and product enhancement opportunities. It is vertically integrated and has a reputation for innovation and world-class quality. Its manufacturing operations have multiple elements including chassis, axels, suspension parts, hydraulics, extrusions, mouldings, castings, forgings and sheet metal fabrications. You will take a leading role in an experienced team dedicated to the design of new products, product improvements and related engineering. A proven professional graduate qualified design engineer ideally in mechanical engineering is required. Yours skills and experience will have been honed in world-class environments; you will be highly proficient in Solidworks and preferably have experience of MRP systems. You will create and manage parts and assemblies along with their associated BOM’s, use FEA software and real world design validation equipment and techniques and you will also advise on testing parameters and the interpretation of results.
