Senior Process Engineer
Overview
The Role: Exciting opportunity to join an established Process Engineering team in a senior staff capacity within the Oil and Gas/Petrochemical industry. The role will involve leading projects as required ensuring customer requirements are met on time and within the allocated budget. The successful applicant will also support junior engineers in their development, authoring and checking project deliverables, developing internal standards and methodologies as well as supporting marketing activities such as authoring of articles. This will include visiting customers to scope out projects and develop the proposal. We are currently recruiting for 2 roles: one role based in Teesside the other in the North West region. Key Responsibilities: Evaluates, selects and applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform tasks or sequence of tasks, for conventional projects with complex features. Executes assignments using established solutions. Authoring technical deliverables Checking project deliverables Supporting junior engineers Assists in creating proposals for projects through coordination of proposal documents and engineering estimates. Interacts with customers, contractors, suppliers. Attends project meetings and presents all technical aspects of project assignments. Supports Contract Manager in issuing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.) Lead, supervise and coordinate teams in the engineering discipline on high/medium complexity projects The Company: Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide Essential Skills / Qualifications: Degree qualified Process Engineer Chartered status Strong consultancy and communications skills Experience is delivering projects to a variety of clients Experience in pressure relief: API 521 and API 520 part 1 Desirable Skills / Qualifications: Professional consulting experience (or similar relevant experience of advising and delivering technical solutions to Customers) Operational and consulting / design experience Process simulation experience e.g. HYSYS and Aspen About Fircroft: Fircroft has been placing people in specialist technical industries for approaching half a century, focusing on mid to senior level engineers for contract and permanent roles worldwide.
