Overview
Superb career opportunity with a high growth, leading UK specialist manufacturer. Multi-disciplinary CAD intensive role with close linkage to Manufacturing and New Product Introduction. You will be joining the central design team of a well-known market leader. Based North West Strong market competitive salary and benefits package Ref: L10942 This is a new role within an expanding team which is developing next generation product ranges for this highly regarded manufacturer of engineered products supplied to a variety of different sectors. The company is on a steep growth curve with lots of new innovation in the pipeline. It is a significant employer and has built its reputation and commanding market position with rugged design concepts and ergonomic versatility. The technologies covered include mechanical, hydraulic and electrical with strong focus on high quality and safety principles. This role will be involved in all aspects of the design and product introduction process from concept through detail design, trialling and production engineering giving full ownership of the finished product and subsequent derivatives. Ideal candidates will have a good quality University degree, preferably mechanical, with a strong design heritage and some early years working experience in a design environment closely linked to an advanced manufacturing operation. You will also need to be highly proficient in using Solidworks and have experience of MRP systems. Previous sector experience could include automotive, rail, aerospace, specialist electromechanical equipment or capital plant with the overriding requirement being the flexibility to operate in a multi-disciplinary team based working situation where individual contribution is expected and valued. You will be joining a high performing team which is being supported by strong investments in design technologies together with world-class production methodologies and associated equipment.
