Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our clients successful store in North West London which is focused on the sports and fitness sector. It is not essential to be an athlete but having an interest in fitess, sport and health / well being would be a distinct advantage KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Inspiring, motivating and coaching your team to deliver first-class customer service Creating a fantastic customer offer through a great looking store environment Responsible for hitting all sales and profitability targets Manage stock replenishment procedures, ensuring all stock deliveries are processed in a timely manner and out of stocks are investigated promptly. Manage rolling stock checks in line with the schedule set by management Manage shop layout changes depending on seasonal/shop development demands Maintain a consistently high level of communication with your line manager, including monthly reports, weekly trading feedback and daily updates Manage the cash handling policy including cash reconciliation and banking procedures Implementing footfall driving activities such as product demonstrations, price promotions & local marketing activities Maintain the customer database by overseeing the capture of new customers and maintenance of existing accounts Maintain a safe environment on the shop floor for customers, visitors and colleagues Use coaching skills to aid team members to maximize their potential through monthly one-to-one reviews and appraisal process Act as a key holder for the site, adhering to the security procedures Ability to use own initiative and self-motivate KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Managerial experience Retail experience Computer literate (MS Office and stock management systems) Fitness/health interest or good knowledge of using fitness equipment not necessary but beneficial KEY COMPETENCIES A high level of managerial competency Proven leader of high performing teams Understanding of how to create an outstanding customer service culture Ability to build a local network & generate sales leads from this local outreach Excellent organisation and planning skills
