Overview

Our client supplies a number of products to the Petrochemical industry and are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Field Sales Engineer to provide a total focus on sales of products and supporting services. You will develop new business along with growing existing business, managing client relationships and performing general marketing activities. If you have technical sales experience, are committed to providing a first-class customer service, proactive and results orientated then this is the ideal role for you. Duties Actively target and grow sales of products and services to new and existing customers. Maximise sales on all proposals. Establish and maintain productive and professional relationships, including regular customer visits. Develop opportunities in new market segments. Prospect for new customers. Identify and investigate new products and services to increase sales. Help develop and implement a strategic sales plan. Manage customer interaction at enquiry, quote and sales order stages. Co-ordinate the involvement of key Company personnel in the project management process. Represent the Company at trade shows, exhibitions and industry associations. Meet targets for sales, profit and strategic objectives within key sectors. Home based but when not visiting clients will be expected to attend the office in Basildon Skills & Experience Must have previous technical sales experience preferably within the engineering/process/fluid handling industry Self-motivated with a good track record in selling capital equipment preferable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisation and time management skills. Good negotiation skills Numerate, with an excellent standard of written and verbal English IT literate.
