Global Fleet Director
Overview
We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. Partner with executive leadership across the company to develop a global fleet strategy designed to support the company’s short and long term goals; maximising market share, revenue growth profitability and growth. To plan, organize and direct personnel, resources and communications throughout the company’s footprint to meet the ongoing needs of the company fleet Oversee Global fleet operations administration including: managing policy governance and compliance, adding and removing vehicles, reporting fleet mutations to HR, finance, payroll and tax departments Oversee and optimise disposal of vehicles Lead the fleet continuous improvement programme Overall responsibility for development, project management and implementation of all global fleet optimization initiatives Lead global vendor pre-qualification, contract negotiations, KPI/SLA development, monitoring and enforcement mechanisms Track and manage global supplier performance together with procurement colleagues Manage regular lease versus purchase analysis in co-operation with finance department Report fleet expense performance regularly Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a business or economics area Minimum 5 years experience of international fleet procurement and fleet operations Significant experience of managing projects in a complex international matrix organizational structure Proven experience in establishing deep and lasting partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders Knowledge of another language other than English is desirable Skilled in negotiation tactics and strategy Advanced numerical ability (to manage budgets, model investment feasibility) Competent manager Articulate and confident presenter Awareness of brands and their power in the marketplace Highly effective collaborator with internal as well as external resources Basic understanding of vehicle tracking and fleet management systems and technology Extensive knowledge of the supplier market Skilled with Excel, Word, Powerpoint
