Overview
About us Do you enjoy making sense of the senseless? Are you able explain the incomprehensible and make people's lives a bit better as a result? This is what we do at TaxScouts. Every year, 200 million Europeans go through tax preparation hell. Needlessly complicated process that can scare the living daylights out of you (actual words from our customers). Let’s be honest – doing taxes sucks. We're here to fix that. TaxScouts was founded by early employees and alumni of Europe’s leading startups (TransferWise, Skype, MarketInvoice), and we’re on a lookout for like-minded people to join us. Who we're looking for We’re looking for an ambitious content creator to own our online content strategy end-to-end. You’ll be working with design, product and other parts of marketing team to produce content that drives organic traffic to our web and engagement among our social media followers. You produce content that's compelling, concise and easy to understand, helping TaxScouts to become the “go-to place” for all questions regarding personal tax. We’re a small team with a flat structure – so you’re a hands-on, get-stuff-done kind of person. This is a highly creative role, but also one that’s tied to our growth and performance. To succeed, you’ll need to ensure TaxScouts' content is memorable, engaging, helpful and tells our story. And, most importantly, supports our mission of taking the dread out of doing taxes. What you'll do Bring some sparkle into the most sombre industry (after funeral directors) As part of the marketing and brand team tell the story of TaxScouts Understand the wants, needs and pain points of our target audience. Validate content ideas that drive traffic to web and engagement on social media Manage our content calendar and do extensive keyword research Produce easy to understand guides, tax calculators and landing pages. What we expect from you Intimate knowledge of content marketing and the mechanics of SEO You have a creative eye and second-to-none copywriting skills You are comfortable using data to identify and understand user needs, and then creating content to satisfy them You know your way around social media and, if needed, can get basic stuff done in Sketch/Figma (or equivalent). Minimum of 3 years experience in content or social marketing in an online consumer business You’re articulate, driven, organised and not afraid to express your opinion when it’s needed. Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work in a demanding, fast-paced environment. What we offer We pride ourselves in tailoring our working environment around our team. Nevertheless, there are some perks that come with working at TaxScouts: 25 days holiday Competitive salary Employee share options Flexible remote working as standard Choose your own work kit Free fruit, tea and coffee Team pizza days Yearly company retreat Contributory pension scheme
