Infrastructure Deployment Coordinator
Overview
We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. Innovation: Translate CIB’s requirements for new circuits (eg - source, destination, bandwidth, protect vs unprotected, lit or dark, L1/L2/L3) to best-in-class solution proposals that include cost, latency, route-maps (KMZs) & SLAs. Turnaround of this activity to be measured in days/weeks, not months. Deployment: Negotiate costs, place orders, and manage landing and extensions for all new carrier services supporting the company customers. Liaise actively with the company Network Engineering & Operations teams to ensure appropriate design, placement & turnover of all service being deployed. Liaise with the company Technical Delivery Managers to ensure delivery is transparent & properly aligned with business expectation. Knowledge Base: Create & maintain a database of carriers & hardware providers relevant to the high-frequency low-latency electronic trading space. Meet with each vendor regularly to stay current on latest offerings. Attend appropriate industry trade events to keep abreast of the latest advents in terrestrial & non-terrestrial communication. Publish a quarterly State of the Service update to GTI & CIB consumers. Renewal/Replacement: For existing contracts, research competitive alternatives (cost and/or capability) 3 months before contract expiration, present recommendation to the CIB for renewal or replacement, and execute based on CIB direction. Vendor Management: Track outages and/or violations to SLAs & manage collection of service credits, issue semi-annual updates on carrier/circuit reliability, and act as primary JPMC escalation contact for all circuits in the the company estate. Manage development of automation to enhance this area – to alert on differences between circuit performance vs contractual obligation. University Degree (Bachelors or Masters) or equivalent work experience Minimum 10 years in IT specializing in WAN provisioning or operations Minimum 5 years experience in an IT role at a Commercial or Investment Bank Strong experience with networking foundations & protocols, as applied to WAN provisioning Experience with current terrestrial & non-terrestrial carrier transport solutions Experience with current hardware & related vendors supporting carrier solutions Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills Team player adept at collaborating with internal & external parties to develop ideal solution for the business Strong decision maker, with transparent & timely communication & follow-up Excellent listening, writing, speaking, presentation and facilitation skills Flexible, hands on and able to work in a fast paced, high pressure, client-focused and collaborative environment
