Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Head of Philanthropy with an excellent understanding of philanthropy, major donor fundraising and best practice high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth fundraising tools and processes. Seeking someone with a thorough understanding of the UK philanthropy market who has effective team leadership and line management skills to inspire, motivate and develop a high-performing fundraising team. Working closely with the Global Development & Strategic Engagement Director and the Director of Strategic Partnerships, this senior role will shape and lead the implementation of all elements of m2m’s European major giving and events resource mobilisation strategy. You will develop and lead a strategy that will deliver a significant increase in philanthropic income. Well connected, networked and passionate about philanthropic giving, you will maintain a robust personal portfolio as well as provide strategic oversight and leadership to a team responsible for a range of unrestricted revenue activities in Europe; such as leading m2m’s major gifts and individual stewardship approach (including the Global Giving Circle), special events, and community fundraising. This role will require extensive collaboration with colleagues in North America, South Africa and m2m-African country offices, providing m2m-wide thought leadership on engaging new audiences and building models of growth for unrestricted funding from high-net-worth individuals.
