The OPTech Data Science team in Facebook's Legal organization is looking for a senior Data Scientist who can apply their expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how Facebook users interact with our consumer and business products. The ideal candidate will work across areas of Counter Terrorism, Child Safety, Organized Crime, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Corruption, and Ethics & Compliance to keep our platform safe. Required Skills: 1. Mine massive amounts of data and perform large-scale data analysis to extract useful business insights. 2. Develop data pipelines with automated, machine-learning systems that convert noisy core datasets into powerful signals of user behavior. 3. Building models of user behaviors for analysis or to power production systems. 4. Partner with Integrity ML engineers, Research Scientist and Engineers to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities. 5. Design and implement dashboards and reports that track key business metrics and provide actionable insights. 6. Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions and product launches by effectively communicating results to cross functional groups. 7. Large scale data processing using distributed systems (Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, or MPI) 8. Statistical analysis using R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, or Stata 9. Developing in scripting language: PHP or Python Minimum Qualifications: 10. Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related technical field 11. Solid programming experience, preferably Python 12. Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience using ML techniques 13. Experience with algorithm evaluation and determination of success criteria 14. Experience in using quantitative analysis techniques: clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics 15. Experience working with large data sets and network-based data (TCP or HTTP), ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and relational databases (SQL or PL*SQL) Preferred Qualifications: 16. PhD in a quantitative discipline and 2+ years of hands-on experience in a data focused discipline. 17. Solid programming experience, preferably Python Industry: Internet
