About your job Providing commercial and first line technical support to concrete producers.Identify, investigate and pursue suitable opportunities where a potential sale exists to achieve a profitable sales outcome, to supportsaleswithinthe Concrete UK business Detailed Job Description Your core duties and responsibilities will be as follows plus any other work that your Line Manager may deem relevant to your job: Essential Functions: * Maximize market potential and develop an expanding client base in line with the company's strategy, resulting in profitable sales of the company's products and services within the territory. * Visit prospective clients in order to provide advice with solutions to customer's requirements, which correspond to our company's offers. * Maintain regular contact with key influencers in order to keep abreast of and where possible influence policy decisions including technical standards and procurement methods. * Provide first line technical support, including customer laboratory and plant trials, with training be able to recommend products and to deal with customer technical, product performance and quality queries. * Work with customer's to identify product needs, submit and follow up on requests for technical support for work to be carried by GCP technical services. * Carry out efficient and well planned canvassing to maximize salespotential throughout the territory, including with consultants and end users. * Build profitable long-term relationships with the customer base, successfully managing the accounts. * Prepareproduct and pricingproposalsto meet thecustomer's requirements and set up the sale. * Maintain a thorough knowledge of all products that they are required to sell including a practical understanding of the applications, technical performance,sales featuresand price pointsalongside those of our competitors. * Monitor market activity, prices, and market share, identify trends and opportunities and communicate same toline Manager along with personal ideas and recommendations. * Follows PR worthy contracts through using photographyand client testimonials forapplications ofpromotional interest. * Passes on any customer complaints adopting the company's Complaints Procedures and make suggestions on how to rectify them to the Line Manager or colleague who is dealing with it to ensure a satisfactory conclusion. * Contributes towards training sessions and sales meeting discussions to assist in the collation of market information required to maintain a successful sales strategy. * Assist at exhibitions, seminars, presentations or other activities not necessarily directly related with their normal dailywork. * Maintain up to date Customer files/recordsand as requiredthrough the company'sCRM Database. * Enter all activity data into the Company's Database in accordance with the reporting procedures. * Submit completed reports on time and in accordance with reporting procedures. * Is responsible for the prompt submission and correct disclosure of business expenses. * Operates at all times in accordance with the terms and conditions defined within the company's Policies and Procedures including any supplements. * Present a highly professional company image at all times, operating to a high moral and legal code of conduct. * Keep all necessary sales material and equipment in pristine condition and in good working order. * Be prepared and equipped with suitable samples, literature and marketing material as needed to support a presentation. Skills, Experience and Education The candidate is expected to meet the following criteria required to perform the role: Requirements: * The ideal candidate will have experience inboth commercial sales andtechnical support with a proven track record in sales. * Good technical background inconcrete production and performance and the roles of admixtures, ideally withCity & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 Concrete Technology * Key attributes associated with this role include being gregarious with excellent people skills, confident and competitive. * Candidates should also be tenacious with excell
