Overview

Our global client based in Bracknell, Berkshire are seeking an experienced Sales Planning Manager to join their busy, dynamic team for a minimum period of 6 months. Role: Reporting to the Head of European Sales this is a pivotal role in the achievement of our sales and profit objectives. Definition of Branch and Distributors target to the central objective setting process Communication of these targets and policies and weekly follow up to each Branch and Distributors. Monitoring of Common Stock volume and definition of action plan Liaison with Marketing, Customer, Dealer Development and Product Planning divisions Act as a support of Regional Sales Department Manager Main Accountabilities Set up Sales Planning function including Branch Sales forecast, inventory management, review, consolidation of Branch Commercial operations Consolidation of KPI information summary Coordinate KPI target setting in each Branch, definition and monitoring of activities for each of them Main Responsibilities: Monitor and evaluate sales trends and general market conditions and advise appropriate actions both within Branches & Central functions. Provide support to branch on implementing SP Activities on national and dealer levels. Ensure data provided by branch are accurate. Ongoing development of our reporting tools. Provide support and challenge to Branch Senior Management Team and encourage the wider teams to achieve sales objectives Act as a support to Regional Sales Department Manager alerting them on issues and proposing countermeasures. Define Sales strategy for new model launch as a leader of SP flow process. Act interactively with Marketing, Public Relation and Product Planning to propose a consistent global approach. Assist Business Planning in the preparation of budget meetings. Assist Business Planning in the Pricing activity for the launch of new models. Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual regional sales planning processes and procedures are robust. Ensure Branches are managing model lifecycles, including detailed Flow planning for new model introduction and run-out of old models plus new model price sign-off. Monthly/Quarterly management of Branch Sales Forecasts. Assist our Supply functions by leading sales department involvement in Common Stock Group Meeting. Ensure proper implementation of countermeasures. Review all Branch activities for new model launch and provide recommendations for life cycle management or campaign planning. Identify any variances against initial plan to set up any necessary counter-measures Establish and maintain a high level of communication between Branches Advise and support other functions within the business. Act as Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for branches in the absence of one RSM when requested. Qualifications, skills and experience required: Results oriented, over achiever, comfortable balancing priorities and working to tight deadlines. A balanced portfolio of skills and abilities ranging from strategic business planning to hands-on tactical programme implementation incorporating Position within a Branch Senior Management Team Field based dealer network-facing experience Experience in other disciplines (e.g. Fleet sales, Dealer development, business management). Established leadership and people management skills A commercial mind and attitude with the ability to maintain business disciplines across numerous activities. Strong team player and an inspirational leader. Good understanding of process and flow of information Excellent networking and relationship building skills. Straight talking, open and honest approach with a high level of personal integrity and standing. Degree qualified or equivalent would be an advantage.
