We have fantastic new opening for a Business Development Executive to join the team on a full time basis in our Manchester office. The role offers candidates a sought-after opportunity in selling highly lucrative sponsorship and exhibition space across a portfolio of prestigious conferences. Since 1997, GovNet has delivered innovative, thought-provoking and insightful events, ranging from conferences and exhibitions to training courses and forums, most of which are primarily for the public sector. Our Business Development Executive should have experience in researching and be comfortable selling to high-level decision makers. You should have a high level of sales acumen and the ability to negotiate and close high value sales. Apart from being self-motivated and resilient with excellent persuasion skills, you must be self-driven, money motivates and focused to achieve weekly targets. About the role of the Business Development Executive Developing and optimising a sales pipeline through the creation of new business generation. This includes research and lead sourcing Continually establishing client relationships and building a strong rapport to enable you to deliver excellent customer service Identifying potential new markets/business opportunities to highlight and present to your team leader Inputting sales pipeline into CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) Forming long-term trusting relationships for the business to develop Representing GovNet at events as agreed by your team leader and visit competitor events Reaching and exceeding weekly KPIs and monthly sales targets including 2 hours of talk time per day on the phone, pipeline generation and fast conversion Requirements Knowledge of industry sector is an advantage such as education, healthcare or justice Ability to research, identify sales areas and generate leads Proven experience of cold calling and face to face sales High attention to detail and experience working in a pressurised, professional environment High level of sales acumen Although the majority of sales pitching is conducted over the phone, experience using Linked In and face to face experience is advantageous Self-motivated and results orientated team player that can exceed goals and revenue expectations, with the ability to work on own initiative Experience of hitting and exceeding monthly targets Benefits Competitive Salary 25 days holiday rising to 28 with length of service ( plus bank holidays) Birthday day off Pension Enhanced Maternity/Paternity 37.5 hour week Employee Assistance Program - 24/7 access to mental health and legal experts and more Summer and Christmas Parties It is a great time to join GovNet Communications.
