If so, we want to hear from you Our client is currently seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager; in return they are offering a basic salary up to £45k, opportunity for travel and career progression. The Job Role: As Technical Sales Manager your role will entail: The role of the Specification Manager is to promote products to local authorities, housing associations, RSL’s, contractors, national housebuilders, architects and developers, as well as liaise with the approved window contractors involved in this commercial field. Gain specification with local authorities, housing associations, public bodies, contractors, architects, developers, QS, hospital boards, schools and the MOD. Liaise with and gain national agreements with housebuilders and developers. Oversee and manage major accounts. Specify and then obtain orders from above types of organisations as new customers who are financially secure. Prepare drawings for tender (site surveys for design). Assist on local authority tenders in conjunction with the fabricator with regard to pricing matrices and tenders for proposed jobs. Provide specifiers with an all-in package, visiting sites, surveying, advising on potential problems, alternative design criteria, writing specifications where required and providing constant back-up on site as well as fabricator visits. Assist fabricators with tenders and pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ). Attend local and national exhibitions and following up leads. Gaining specifications across various different companies. Overseeing and managing major accounts. Covering the Midlands and North Yorkshire areas. Experience / Requirements: You MUST have 3-4 years’ experience of selling within the windows/ doors manufacturing sector. You MUST have 2 years’ experience in working with fabrication and installation. You MUST have detailed knowledge of windows systems. You will have site management experience including ability to conduct site surveys. You will have strong commercial awareness. You will have a strong understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint, Access and Excel. You will be targeted orientated, keen to learn and have the ability to retain technical information. You must be flexible with UK travel and have a full UK driving licence.
