We have a small but dedicated team of data analysts and data scientists who work to optimise the impact of our marketing spend across digital and offline acquisition channels. This team builds predictive models, monitors performance through dashboards and reports, and conducts ad-hoc analyses to understand how we can better acquire valuable customers. We want to grow our team and hire a Marketing Data Analytics Lead to work as a thought partner with both our CMO and analytics leads to inform our wider marketing strategy. You will be responsible for: * Leading the Marketing Analytics team, including strategy setting and prioritisation of major projects * Owning the channel attribution logic across all acquisition channels * Designing and maintaining KPIs for acquisition teams and monitoring these KPIs with reporting and dashboards that allow iwocas management team to understand cross-channel acquisition performance * Modelling and analysis to drive optimisation of individual direct acquisition channels including direct mail, email, PPC, Paid Social and SEO * Ad-hoc analytical consulting with our growth hacking and website conversion rate optimisation teams * Supporting Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) - from understanding the business question to be answered, to designing and monitoring the test, to analysing the results * Managing the team (currently 2 people) - hiring and coaching a high-quality team of analysts. * Multi-disciplinary projects with the wider tech team and business stakeholders Requirements We look for people that are smart, humble, motivated and who are always looking to improve. Ideally, youll have: * A strong analytical background, e.g degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; or equivalent knowledge. * Strong Python skills, including experience with some of the common Python data-science toolkits: Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn. * Experience leading teams or large projects within a Marketing Analytics function, reporting to multiple stakeholders. * A track record of optimising profitability or ROI for one or more of these channels: direct mail, email, PPC, Paid Social and SEO * A desire to build innovative, but practical, solutions to business problems. * A love for coding and getting hands-on with the raw data to really understand the underlying processes and nuances of the problem. * Proven practical experience of predictive modelling and pragmatic implementation of machine learning techniques, such as logistic regression, to effectively solve real-world problems, preferably in a marketing context * Strong communication skills, especially when explaining analytical techniques and problems to less technical stakeholders * Experience with statistical data analysis, ability to generate well founded insights from potentially unstructured data. * An interest in managing other analysts and building a team. Experience of people management would be good but is not essential.
