Alizent, a subsidiary of Air Liquide, a leading player in industrial computing, has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the team based in Barnsley. With more than 250 employees based in Paris, Madrid, Montreal, Houston and Barnsley, our activities include the development, hosting, operation and maintenance of Industrial IT solutions to improve the performance of industrial systems through five main axes: Traceability, Telemetry/IoT, Production management, Industrial supervision (SCADA) and logistics optimisation. We help close the gaps between industrial realities and digital possibilities, connecting people, processes and assets, empowering businesses to optimise performance, improve user experience and reshape business models. About the role: Due to growth, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team. You will be managing sales processes in an international context with diverse collaborators, sectors and projects. You will play a key role in communicating effectively with customers in order to build trust and lasting relationships. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience through fieldwork and customer site visits in domestic and international locations. Responsibilities: Participating in commercial strategy and identifying areas for prospecting Prospecting, selecting and targeting new accounts, via cold calls, emails and in-person meetings Communicating and negotiating with customers and internal teams Organising pre-sales activities Responsibility for revenue growth and for defining appropriate strategies and tactics to achieve goals and to ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements Validating the final rendering of the contract and its annexes in accordance with the offer Achieving company sales targets aligned with the company’s strategy Positioning, adapting, and promoting solutions offered to prospects or customers to best meet their needs Analysing competition and regulations (if applicable) when developing a proposal Networking with other commercial teams within the company to share information regarding prospective clients by participating or organising events in order to generate leads and to maintain a partner network Managing the proposal process, leading kick-off meetings, ensuring participation throughout the project organisation, and coordinating with various stakeholders. Steering the construction of technical and financial proposals for all types of projects with the appropriate resources in conjunction with Project Managers Requirements: Experience within IT companies Background with Software Solutions selling / IoT Industrial expertise in Oil & Gas, Food & Beverages and Industrial Gases Preferably Supply chain previous knowledge Preferably Asset Management Tracking experience Excellent communicator and negotiator Sounds interesting?
