National Business Development Manager – Selling into Modular Building and Off-Site Manufacturers - South Yorkshire Salary: Competitive Dependent Upon Experience The company Our client is a premium supplier of products into the modular construction industry based in South Yorkshire .Their forward thinking mentality and continuous product portfolio development has created another exciting opportunity for an energetic sales professional to join the experienced team. You will have the personal gravitas and ambition to deliver profitable sales growth within the UK territory through the development of existing customer relationships and new opportunities through focused activity supporting the company sales strategy . The company strive to deliver above market growth in all sectors the business enters. It is essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate the necessary interpersonal and internal cross functional ability to support the execution the group’s aggressive sales strategy within the UK. The Role The successful applicant will take proactive responsibility for the sales budget in their designated region achieving an aggressive double-digit growth target each year. Develop quotes with the estimating team and presenting commercial proposals to clients. Maintain and improve existing business by ensuring all opportunities are maximised for the group, using key account management best practices and strategies, to include; 1) Use of data driven analysis to prepare for and ensure that pre-negotiation approval and contract reviews with key customers are conducted and agreed with senior stakeholders prior to execution. 2) Review and action account classification quarterly and ensure that key account focus is maintained and can be communicated through the group as required. 3) Ensure CRM is central to all sales activities, including project tracking and used in-line with business rules governing CRM To obtain new customers and sales leads by conducting research into new routes to market. Monitor business trends of all accounts within area identifying new business opportunities / threats and develop strategy and actions to address any negative trends. To prepare quotations based upon company pricing structure/policy and negotiate with customers, ensuring appropriate margins are achieved. To visit both existing and potential customers though customer categorization and effective journey planning, which is logged and managed through the CRM system. Main Job Purpose: To liaise with technical team concerning viability of new products, lead times, delivery details, machine availability, manufacturing programmes etc. To follow up overdue accounts when requested by Credit Control by telephone or customer visits Deliver profitable growth through introduction of new product ranges and increase volumes of existing product ranges. Provide a monthly report as required by the UK Board of Directors. Take responsibility for building and maintaining industry and competitor knowledge, sharing knowledge with the wider team as appropriate with suggestions on new product development Take a continual improvement approach to all elements of the role and feedback to UK management team. To prepare quotations based upon company pricing structure/policy and negotiate with customers, ensuring appropriate margins are achieved. Work with Finance and Credit Control to ensure that customer payments are received on agreed dates. Required Attributes: Demonstrable understanding of best practice Key Account Management & Business Development Demonstrable successful track record in a similar sales role Detailed knowledge of the UK building, Offsite and Modular Construction markets Previous experience in managing multimillion £ region Success in proactively identifying and winning new business Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally both verbally and written Proven track record of achieving targets and meeting KPI’s Excellent analytical skills Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload Ability to work on own initiative Demonstrable strong skills in MS office products Required Qualifications and Experience: Degree linked to a business discipline or minimum 5 year’s commercial experience in a field-based role Desirable Qualifications: Degree Calibre Performance Appraisal: Performance will be monitored quarterly and judged against key targets that are aligned strategic account goals & KPI’s Travel: As required to execute regional plans
