Overview
The Opportunity Our client has a unique opportunity for a Business Development professional with experience in selling to the NHS. The head office is in Milton Keynes but the role has national coverage. Their products result in a significant change for their customers and therefore the sales process involves is a consultative process which looks at not only understanding what they provide, but more importantly what their potential clients are looking to achieve. As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the full sales process; from lead identification and generation, presentation / product demonstration, though to bid and proposal writing. Reporting to the Head of Business Development you will be responsible for working across the business, from Marketing to Business Management, to deliver new client contracts. The Role Undertaking sales presentations to prospective new clients Undertaking product demonstration to prospective new clients Business case / bid / proposal development Reporting on sales performance against target Lead identification and generation Attending conferences and exhibitions The Person Experience selling to the NHS and ideally complex solution sales Working experience and understanding of the Public Sector A clear communicator with excellent presentation skills A creative approach to problem solving Ability to quickly build strong relationships with senior level staff Outstanding networking skills Highly consultative approach Proactive and focussed outlook Willingness to travel across UK when required (note that the role is based in Milton Keynes) The Salary The salary is from £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus car allowance and uncapped OTE (target additional £30,000 pa)
