About the Company A respected market leader within the Commercial Interiors sector, who have experienced rapid growth over the last 10 years are looking to strengthen their senior management team with the key recruitment of a Sales Development Director. The organisation has been expanding and are constantly looking for new business opportunities. About the role This role is critical to the sustainable growth and ultimate success of the business within the next decade and key points are; To work as part of the Operational Leadership Team to drive operational and commercial performance, ensuring delivery of UK targets and KPI’s To take strategic responsibility as the functional lead for the National Sales Strategy and sales optimisation. Strategic responsibility for using Customer Insight to design, develop and deliver Sales campaigns, customer communications and digital initiatives in partnership with the Customer Insight, Marketing and eCommerce Director; Strategic co-ordination with Marketing of the UK Brand positioning; Influencing opinion-formers (trade bodies and large customers) through face to face engagement and public speaking; Oversight of sales forecasting; development and implementation of appropriate sales and marketing compliance, control and regulatory frameworks; Establish and build people capability with the People Business Partner through recruitment, retention, succession planning and development. About the individual The incumbent will have a demonstrable track record of success in; Strategic sales leadership Strategic business and proposition development Digital marketing and investment Partnerships with national customers Change and transformation leadership Commercial Interiors Market Knowledge is preferable however candidates from adjacent industries will be considered e.g. Building Products, DIY.
